BIG CARRIBOO ISLAND 1861 CENSUS
The
1861 census for Big Carriboo
Island was completed on March 20, 1861. It recorded the names of
the heads of families, the number and sex of those in a given
family, and age distributions (which are not reproduced here). In
all, there were eleven families
and 77 people. Notice the high percentage of families with women
(widows no doubt) as heads. The key information is listed
